The International Center for Russian & East European Jewish Studies founded in Moscow in 2003. The Center’s Objectives are: * Study the history and cultural heritage of the Russian and East European Jewry; * Propagate knowledge of the history and culture of the Russian and East European Jews; * Promote the revival of the national identity of the Russian Jewry, based on absorption of the Jewish cultural heritage and historical traditions with respect to realities of the contemporary world; * Advance international collaboration in the field of East European Jewish studies. Un écho d’Israël propose un regard original sur un pays "trop souvent réduit au seul conflit israélo-palestinien". Working Group on Christian Jewish Relations

In 2009 the group entered its 10th year as a designated Working Group of the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. It is associated with the Synod’s Ecumenical Relations Committee, and was formed in response to the 1997 Uniting Church Assembly’s initiative that there be a continuing process of educating the people of the Uniting Church about their relationship with Judaism.
